Bookstore Distribution

Bookstore sales make up about 50% of the sales of an average title. Unfortunately for the small publisher, the bookstore trade has moved further and further away from buying books directly from the publisher. Most bookstores will only buy through either a book distributor or book wholesaler. While it is the preferred method of distribution, finding a traditional distributor or wholesaler to carry your titles is no easy task for the first time publisher.
